So, looks like they give them a soul breaker, that meteor thing hits hard, is it fire elemental? 13k on the ED and only 8k on the rideword...melee hits goes random from 900-3.3k, berserk makes it up to 7k(Thurisaz), the shields reduce a good amount of damage(Berkana), they look pretty balanced to me, what runes where u using? i just got a hold of the Thurisaz, Raido and Berkana runes...

@benji: He is rune knight jlvl 40, so he already WAS LK jlvl 70, thats one of the various diferences of becoming a rune knight after being a LK.

Ignition Break looks like a fire version of the ice meteor of the ninjas.... looks like damage its 1200%-3x3, 1000%-5x5 and, 600% the rest of the cells, i wonder in how the range of the spears weapons affects this skill damage, and how ranged reduccion will be affected when casted with sword-spear when inside the first AoE damage row....

It wouldnt be so bad if Arch Bishops werent so great. I mean you got the Rune Knight users running around trying to figure out WTF then you got the Arch Bishops happy as they could be.

Dont knights have enough buffs as it is? Enchant blade and the runes them self to me dont seem worth it. (besides the the tripple attack one...but...once again your weapon could break -_-)and all the moves with the dragon are just laughable at best.

I was expecting more along the lines of more passive abilities to come from Rune Knights, an advance form of spear or 2 handed mastery. More expansion from knight skills like a improved BB.

but instead...wow, i think the majority of people are disapointed. Even from the video (which i'm glad that doddler spent the time making, i apperciate it)showed me just how under whelming they are.

All i'm going to say is...Rune Knights may be an freakin insane class and we dont know it because of one thing...

Fear.

Just what is this mysterious effect, what does it do? How long does it last, what heals/removes the effect. Does it weaken your opponent till their like a poring?

Fear for all we know may very well be an insane move. Until Gravity clears this up or improves why fear remains to be an effect question, i'm going to remain wondering.

Now if fear turns out to be a waste of your time or a extremely rare chance of inflicting...then...yeah other classes may be more tempting...

Rune Knight skills are way too weak

i mean gravity planned to make rune knight an offensive class, maybe weakening the defense a bit but dealing huge amounts of damage

so in my opinion a single target skill like a stronger version of spiral with aroung 2000%-3000% dmg is needed, which should have some bad side effects (which isn't too much, because with the renewal the maximum atk of a 120 str rune knight will be as gread as or lower as the maximum atk of a 99 str LK before the renewal, and every class will get a great hp boost...)

also a stronger version of bowling bash, WITHOUT lines, covering at least an area of 3x3 cells with ~ 1500% dmg

and those skills should be instant or with a cast time under 1 sec

the runes and the active status changing skills of the dragon are quite good imo

but as someone here said before there should be 2-3 passive skills to improve dmg,hit,crit,aspd,str something like that

maybe a skin tempering like skill, but only when you use your dragon mount (because dragons won't take much dmg from fire element atacks)

increasing weight limit of dragon mount by 1000 maybe (so you got 2000 weight increasement with dragon, 1000 more as peco)

just some ideas,... but srsly if the new offensive skills are weaker than bowling bash, this is just crappy,...


i just hope LK doesn't end up so bad as it seems at the moment....

I wish they would of released more information on the Guillotine Cross, but the Rune Knight looks interesting. Runes are pretty useful I'm sure. The dragon looks a bit weird though.

LK is an offensive class? AD does more, SB+EDP does more, Asura does more, good HWs do more..
LK is an defensive class? Pally tanks more while they are more usefull.
Let the status for Snipers and the break for MS.

LK isn't usefull at all. I say that although i play this class. We'll see what Gravity brought to the others 3rd classes but i'm disappointed.

so tell me how the hell do they break an emp? u.u...with bowling bash!? u.u....just mentioned frenezy cuz with right weapon u can get a very high aspd with about no agi(broken mechanic?) then u can get 80+vit...which means u can get more than 70k hp with frenezy(tyr build)

first of all i want to see a rune knight making 1k hits on a demi human without thara, beret

should be impossible without megs, because the atk will be lowered with the renewal (because of the changed of the stat str)

the maximum should be ~800, but this is where the problems begin

because skills like two hand sword mastery and aura blade just count one time

so if your lord knight does 400 normal dmg without aura blade and 500 with aura blade

his bowling bash dmg will be 10*400 + 100 = 4100

so if you implent a 2000% single target dmg skill for rune knight and your normal hits are around 800

you will get to 650*20 + 150 = 13150

with thara and beret you get to 8100 (which is as much as you deal in the presence with rapid smiting with a cross shield pvp)

3000% would deal 12150 dmg on thara and beret, which is as much as a edp soul linked sonic blow, so no big deal in my opinion

if the rune knight gets bad side effects for this skill, it would be balanced enough

and never forget ragnarok is a game where you can get one shottet in pvp pretty often, a fast pvp game, where you need good reflexes and skill to survive

just because of that i play it

I think 3 easy improvements could make RK alot better.

1)Remove Fire element from Ignition Break. True you'll own monsters weak to fire, to bad every thing else will laugh at you.

2)Remove the chance of breaking your weapon from Giant Growth.

3)Crush Strike no longer breaks your weapon, just give it a longer cool down time.

I think just those 3 changes would make me happier. Crush Strike would actually be usable and I wouldnt have to worry about any fire resistant monsters eaither from using Ignition Break. And since every one and their mom will be spamming Giant Growth, it would be nice to never worry about breaking your weapon.

Crush Strike could be an amazing move but to bad it breaks your weapon. For events like WoE or Endless or even long MVP fights it makes the move worthless. Its not like you can use it, wait for a BS to fix it. Then try again and repeat the fixing process. And if you dont have a BS your screwed.

LK are good to break empties castles. With Frenzy you wont be able to break castles defended, i wont explain more about that it's simple to know.

Crush strike does break ur weapon, but what if ur weapon is indestructible like the assaulter's katzbalger?.. would it still break?.. that's what i would like 2 know..

And also, some of us are forgetting that a rune knight also has a rune that makes him immune 2 spells for 10 secs.. so if u are a vit type who can break in about 6-7 secs.. u can still break an emp for about 9-12 secs w/o worrying about dec agi or aspersio.. by the time the rune expires, it will be already 2 l8 to be stop it.. ^^

Some of you are probably pserver whiners looking for any excuse in the world to one shot anything and be a super job. Quite common that those who QQ over the Knight jobs tend to be pserver Bios/SinX/Champs that thrive in their customs. AD/EDP/Asura = Single Target. Knights are all about group battles.

Seems to be very good stuff these runes, the best one is the triple atk rune...which gave you 25~30% chance of amplyfying...3timesx3times(frenzy)900% damage in one hit o.o

You can see 2,7k normal hit in berserk.. so 1,3k without berserk, but of course player will have more than 20 def, if the player has 300 def well then it goes down to 1k.

But anyway I'm sure some skills will get changed. Like storm blast and wind cutter.

@crush strike use a hurricane fury so it wouldnt be broken after crush strike more or less 1 hits anyone except RKs and RGs. @dragn howling used for high flee rate chars. @hundred spear its very strong especially with buffs from minstrels harmo and windmill swing attack + giant growth and fighting spirit if youre rich enough to buy inca you could 2 hit any character LOL.
