Doddler have you been trying to reduce damage from earthquake by using biochemist mushroms? I've heard that they count as normal player for earthquake damage distributiuon.

Well I know it´s from pserver...But that pserver is basicaly copiing iro and it´s running on aegis too.(Most of pservers runs on eathena, where you can change MUCH more things) And there is guild that can deal with valkyrie head-on, by tanking it and asuraing till it earthquakes for first time (Everyone is kaizeled, so those who dies are immediately back again) and then they switch to bombers and bomb her out. It really works, but they use one GTB.(on champion tanking valkyrie) But I guess...You can borow one GTB from your aliance rite? I hope my post will help you a little to deal with this problem. Good luck on your head-on fights with high end bosses.

I'm curious about how effective the trapping technique is. Do ifrit and valk still use earthquake under their trapped conditions?

Yeh, u can deal EQ with kaizel and also, i dont think mushrooms count as players. You can also claymore trap beelzebub with 1k mushrooms iirc and claymore next to it but prolly it'll happen such a lag and crash the map or maybe the server, we did that on hugel on a pserver and whole hugel DCed XD

To Sovereign: What do you think? They are trapping them only because of EQ...If they still EQ in trap then they won´t bother doing so...So...Yes traps stops EQs until someone missclick, go next to her so she can attack, and trigger EQ

Doesn't the trapping take the fun/ sense out of MVPing? I'm from euRo Chaos and on my Server both MVPs are camped, but neither Ifrit nor Radgris is trapped.

now when i think of it when i still had my hunter i think befor going soloing GTB i think i should of set a TON of traps before i started hitting it cuz i LAGED and it looks like it teleported over...

hey ....i wonder if you can use the hide skill to escape from the earthquake damage? cuz i think it works with stormgust i'm not sure has anyone try using it before? likkeee use hide when it starts loading its earthquake.......just a idea..dun yell at me for being stupid...

also if it does work then the assassin cross people in the party can use grimtooth to deal some nuetral damage while it earthquakes =)

No because EQ is summoned only from bossprotocol monsters, (only some player with Ifrit card would be hideable) so even though you are in hide, it will unhide you and kill you.

It´s not clasic Shield [1]...Strong Shield [1] is one of new shield making you unpushable at cost of taking 20% more dmg from everything and Brutal prefix is clasical orc warrior card.

One possible answer to surviving earthquake... bring 3 more full parties on same screen to balance the damage :D
