Does this cost anything?
I know Requiem is a bloody game, but why did they put Red Blood Cells on the Title Screen, that's not gore that's anatomy.

Vaqaas: It is free to play. There are benefits to having a pay-to-play account, including increased experience, lower death penalty and ability to talk in region chat. However, there's no requirement to pay for the game. I realized I didn't actually post the link for the site, which is www.playrequiem.com .

For Quake's sake... Why can't male mage classes in those MMORPG games look like MAGES!? Requiem, Lineage II... While female class have a good design the males look pathetic... Where are the capes or cloaks... Where is the pride... No, the mages need to wear friggin' short pants nowadays. Sigh... I hope the Third Classes will look more like RO High Wizards or Diablo 1 Sorcerers, and not like a damn kindergarden magician-wannabes.

I was really siked about Requiem. It looked good but when I played it I was disappointed. Doddler is exactly right about it being like World of Warcraft. Picture WoW. Now picture WoW if it was always dark and bloody filled with gore. Now picture all of the classes of characters you can make much more boring then those chars in WoW and there you have Requiem
Doddler didn't mention this so I assume he doesn't think this is the case, but I really did find the classes of characters lacking, espicilally when comparing them to the amazing choice of builds and classes that Ragnarok has. All the skills and classes seemed so generic to me.
Another thing, World of Warcraft is designed to work on lower end computers. Blizzard specifically designed it this way. They wanted WoW to be able to run on as many computers as possible. If people can't play your game then you won't get money from them. Although Requiem's graphics are NOT any better then that of WoW it has higher system requirements and would not Run on my laptop. So I had to play it on my desktop which already had me annoyed.
My laptop isn't the most powerful thing but I can run RF Online, World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy 11, D&D online, and most any MMORPG ive tried. But not Requiem, and as i said earlier Requiems graphics frankly aren't any better then WoW or RF Online.
There is no reason not to give Requiem a shot though.

and also there'sno option to lower the graphic details, like texture and so, but only the object/viewrange, shadows and the gore

This is the first mmorpg which actually can trap You within a location and won't let You out. I just got stucked in some dungeon with a party and we got killed. Then the only ressurection option was to get ressurected at a nearest res point, which is crawling with monsters. You won't menage to cast a 5 sec. loading return spellbefore beeing nuked, nor will you menage to escape. First Ragnarok Online 2, now this... Perhaps Gravity should concentrate on one project and FINISH it properly rather than spamming pathetic games.

I haven't tried this game nor plan to since I haven't touched any MMO in a while now, but just to point out, Diablo III has been announced, and if it's anything like Diablo II in terms of execution, it'll be a really strong representation of "horror MMO."
Also I actually like Blizzard's execution of Diablo series as a unique "almost non-MMO" that's more focused on storyline than "go kill X monsters and get a reward and when you're stronger come back and I'll give you a similar quest." Until you're grinding in Hell to get to 99 or trying to find rare drops, you're actually trying to "complete the game," an aspect almost completely absent from other MMOs. Of course, it's really hard to compare Diablo series to other MMOs because it's not MEANT to be so massive and limits players in a single game to small numbers.

People have to get used to MMO's being like WoW because that's all they do, especially the new games.
Also, I'm so psyched about D3, I've been waiting for it ever since I started to play D2, like 3-4 years ago. D2 did have a pretty good horror factor
